DESCRIPTION:Indivisible Boise Chapter One will host a Volunteer Campaign Skills Workshop Saturday\, April 27 from 10-5 at the Boise Public Library (715 S. Capitol). Admission is $12 to the All-Day Session or $12 for either the Early Session (10 a.m.-1:45 p.m.) or the Afternoon Session (12:15-4:45 p.m.) and includes a box lunch from Boise Bistro and a seat for the keynote address by the Honorable Ilana Rubel\, House Assistant Minority Leader. Please bring a smartphone and laptop or tablet–you will need both. (if you are unable to bring either a smartphone or laptop\, please email us at IndivisibleBoi1@gmail.com and we will do our best to provide one.) \nThe Workshop will feature courses in the basic skills needed to work on a campaign\, including Votebuilder\, MinIVan\, phone-banking\, door-knocking & canvassing and voter registration. If Barr fails to meet the deadline set by Congressional leaders of Tuesday\, April 2\, we mobilize. \nAttorney General William Barr has until Tuesday\, April 2\, to send the full Mueller Report to Congress. That’s the deadline set this week by six House committee chairpersons\, after which they will consider Barr to be noncompliant and will put the pressure of the law on him with a subpoena to #MakeItPublic. If Barr fails to meet the deadline\, we will join over 200 groups nationwide Thursday\, April 4 at noon at the Idaho Statehouse in a day of action to hold Barr accountable. Everyone participating in this Event will be required to abide by all applicable laws and lawful orders of authorities. This Event will be nonviolent and will not involve any civil disobedience or other violation of law. \n

DESCRIPTION:Hyde Park Street Fair will be here in no time! Indivisible Boise Chapter One has reserved two booths at this year’s fair Friday\, September 14-Sunday\, September 16 to register voters. Fair hours are 4-9:30 p.m. Friday\, 10 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. \nThis is a gold mine for registering voters–we got over 250 registered last year and hope to double that with two booths in 2018! \nShifts are:\nFriday\, September 14 \n6:30-9:30 \nSaturday\, September 15\n10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.\n12:30-3:30 p.m.\n3:30-6:30 p.m.\n6:30-9:30 p.m. \nSunday\, September 16\n10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.\n12:30-3:30 p.m.\n3:30-6:30 p.m. (including tear-down) \nWe need three people per shift at each booth and there are 10 shifts\, for a total of 60. DESCRIPTION:After a great first week\, we continue with our Color It Blue Lit Drop for progressive candidates in District 21 Saturday\, September 8 from 9:00 a.m.-noon. We will be doing this every Saturday at this same time. No door knocking required! \nWe have literature for Cristina McNeil\, Paulette Jordan\, Kristin Collum\, Jill Humble\, Cindy Wilson\, and Dawn Pierce all at one time and have reached out to those campaigns for a full pack of literature we can leave at the doors of Democrats\, Independents\, and people of unknown political affiliation. There are over 5\,000 such homes in District 21\, so we can get information about several races to a lot of people. \nThere are about 70 homes per turf\, which should take about two hours. With 70 total volunteers\, we can cover this entire area and move to other districts in the weeks to come. \nWe will meet in Molenaar Park (2815 S Maple Grove Rd. in Boise) at 9 a.m. to hand out your packets of literature and give you a Turf Number to enter into MiniVan. You will then drive to your first house and begin dropping off the literature.
