Indivisible Boise Chapter One is going to co-sponsor the Holiday Food Drive & Tax Rally from the SW Idaho Chapter of NOW, with an opportunity for you to contribute to the cause. If you are not able to contribute this holiday season, make a sign and join us Tuesday, Nov. 21 from noon-2 in front of Senator Crapo’s office (251 East Front Street in Boise) to let the Senator know you don’t want your taxes raised so billionaires can get a tax cut!
With the horrible tax bill coming up, the idea is to purchase turkeys and ham (pork) to donate to the Idaho Food Bank in the name of Senator Crapo, as this bill is a “turkey of a bill” also involving plenty of pork for fat cats! The goal is to raise enough money to purchase 240 turkeys for this cause. $50 will buy two turkeys and a ham.
Please consult your tax advisor as to the deductibility of your contribution. NOW is not a tax-deductible organization. While Indivisible Boise Chapter One (an unincorporated nonprofit) is generally a tax-deductible organization, be sure to check with an accountant before claiming a charitable deduction on your tax return.
